AHΞHA Breathing: the 90-second preparation
The signature AHΞHA breathing session — a strong inhale and long exhale for explosive focus and control.
1 · Arrive — 30 seconds
Breathe with Global using the AHΞHA Breathing pattern: Inhale 2s · hold 1s · exhale 9s. The coach video and the music follow every inhale and exhale, so you do not have to count.
2 · Rehearse — 45 seconds
- Picture the water before ahΞha breathing. Its colour, its temperature, the line on the bottom.
- Feel the start: a strong entry, a long glide, a calm first breath.
- Find your stroke rhythm — long exhale into the water, quick inhale out.
- It gets hard. You lengthen the exhale and hold your technique.
- See yourself touch the wall. You swam your race.
3 · Anchor — 15 seconds
Press your palms together. Say quietly: “Flow.” In the real moment, repeat the gesture and one long exhale to recall the prepared state.
Afterwards — the check-in
AHΞHA asks you later how it went: worse, as expected, or better. Your answers build your personal proof record.
Why mental rehearsal
Athletes, surgeons and musicians have used imagery for decades: vividly imagining an action engages many of the same brain networks as doing it, and slow exhales shift the body toward its calming (parasympathetic) branch. AHΞHA packs both into one short, repeatable ritual. It is a preparation tool, not a medical treatment.
