American International Group (AIG) has made several strides, most notably appointing new officials into their board of directors including
Juan Perez and
Courtney Leimkuhler. They've also had significant appointments with
Keith Walsh serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer,
Christopher Schaper as Chief Risk Officer, and
Christopher Flatt as Global Chief Underwriting Officer. Financial predictions and analyses foresee a positive trajectory for AIG, especially after topping Q4 earnings and revenue estimates, impressive third quarter 2024 results and strong underwriting and investment returns. An analyst has increased their forecast on AIG while AIG stock is predicted to rebound after a 0.4% decline since the last earnings report. However, their Q3 earnings are expected to decline despite strong earnings growth in the previous quarters. AIG continues to restructure, notably selling their Personal Travel Insurance division and 21.6% stake of Corebridge to Zurich and Nippon Life respectively. They are also aiming to attract more local jobs by expanding their Atlanta hub.
