The Ball Corporation recently made moves intending to boost its sustainability focus and expand its global footprint. They're set to launch a canned energy drink created in collaboration with Açaí Motion® that comes with a sustainability certification. The company is selling off its aluminum cup business to form a new joint venture. BALL has acquired Alucan to expand its extruded aluminum packaging solutions in Europe and also establishes a strategic alliance with Meadow to promote fully recyclable aluminum cans across various categories worldwide.
\n\nAmong its awards, Ball won four EMBANEWS Awards for sustainable packaging innovation and the ADF Sustainable Innovation Award at Paris Packaging Week. The company also claims to be massively undervalued by investors by around 45%. Despite the CFO's departure announcement and Q1 2025 earnings expectations, Ball's stock remains attractive to investors mainly due to its dividends and aggressive share buyback plans. Approaching a more eco-friendly orientation, Ball introduced the Dynamark™ Printing Technology and also received an ASI Certification for their PUSH Energy Drink Can. Despite confirmed impacts from US aluminium tariffs, Q1 2025 net earnings improved due to increased shipments.
