MGM Resorts International reported mixed
Q3 2025 results, showing profit slide and revenue drag due to weak Las Vegas business and continuing losses. Significant charges tied to a blundered New York casino deal added to the stumbling performance. The
Casino operator's high prices, including a summer $26 water bottle fiasco, triggered a backlash to which the
CEO admitted, βShame on usβ. The company's stake plummeted further by
Asset Management One Co. Lt.d's decision to lower investment. Amidst these declines,
valuation of MGM Resorts share price was reevaluated after a sharp 15% decrease. However, the Las Vegas downturn was offset by a
stronger performance from MGM China and BetMGM, which reported
record earnings and positive cash flow respectively. MGM Resorts also initiated a strategic move, selling its out-of-state casino for $546M. The management confirmed optimistic signs of a rebound in Las Vegas. Analyst forecasts ranged from $35 to $52, with a
new target of $47.50 set by Citigroup. Amidst strategic shifts, the company acknowledged an informational arbitrage opportunity, pointing towards a $1B digital revenue potential. Mgm Resorts closed Q3 with revenues hitting $4.3 billion, an adjusted EPS of $0.24 falling short of expectations.
