United Parcel Service (UPS) has consistently delivered positive news to its investors with regular
quarterly dividends being announced. After averting a strike through successful contract negotiations with their employees, UPS continued to demonstrate its innovative capabilities by significantly investing in
generative AI to improve customer service. However, the company faced a significant setback when the Italian police seized $94 million over alleged tax and labour offences. Also, the company revealed plans to
close at least 200 facilities in an effort to streamline operations. There is also a focus on transitioning to
electric vans, but this has been slowed by battery shortages. They've also been reported buying multinational healthcare logistics provider,
Bomi Group. Despite the challenges, the company is still considered an attractive choice for potential employees, with UPS drivers able to earn up to $172,000 without a degree.
