Bunge Global SA (BG), an agribusiness and food giant has been under scrutiny due to an array of activities and changes. The company has a strong presence amongst institutional owners, holding 89% company's shares. Recently, the company has expanded its volunteer program to support food security in local communities. A downslide of 8% in quarterly profits has ignited concerns. Despite this setback, Bunge is deemed to leverage its position in the market due to its fundamentally strong positioning. The company has also launched a $2.0 Billion Senior Notes Offering that has brought the shares yield to a 3% mark. Despite lower yield and weak crop prices, a supposed Regulatory approval for Bunge’s mega-merger with Viterra worth $34 billion seems to tip the scales. However, amidst all this, Bunge's move of selling its 50% stake in BP Bunge Bioenergia and lowering its year-end EPS outlook has raised eyebrows. Evaluation of the CEO's compensation suggests its fair for the current trading period. Bunge is soon due to pay its next dividend of $0.68. The company is also in the process of moving the place of incorporation from Bermuda to Switzerland.
