The Ingersoll Rand (IR) stock has recently experienced a drop. Investment firms Brown Advisory Inc. and Wealthfront Advisers LLC have both altered their holdings in the company. Recently, Aurobind Satpathy, a seasoned veteran of McKinsey with billion dollar deal experience, has joined the IR board of directors. Ingersoll Rand has received an upgrade to a 'Hold' rating from Melius Research, whilesat the same time receiving a 'Buy' rating from Citigroup. However, skepticism arises as insiders including certain executive members have reported selling US$2.4m of shares. IR's recent acquisition of Termomeccanica Industrial Compressors and Adicomp for €160 million aims to strengthen its growth and product offerings. Despite these moves, the company's financials aren't entirely strong as it reported an earnings miss for Q1 2025, lower Q1 profit and a revision in its FY25 guidance. Nonetheless, there is optimism around the company's resilience and growth prospects.
