MSCI has been busy in its reshuffling of stocks in its global indices as well as those based in specific regions. Despite some stock rebound, it continues to reduce the presence of
Chinese stocks in its index, as it redirects focus towards Taiwan and India. This move significantly increases India's weighting, marking a historical moment as it surpasses China. Besides India and Taiwan, MSCI is also planning to
raise the local weighting in three other indices. On the other hand,
Reddit and
United Airlines secure spots in the MSCI World Index, reflecting a shake-up in the major index. Also included in the indices are Hyundai and NANO Nuclear Energy, with the former joining the MSCI Index and the latter set to be part of MSCI USA Index from February 28, 2025. Resulting from another review is the exit of
Adani Green from the MSCI index. Besides reshuffling, several asset management companies such as Vaughan Nelson, Vontobel Holding Ltd., and EULAV Asset Management are changing their holdings of MSCI Inc.
