Multiple news pieces related to the performance, investments and financial outlook of Eversource Energy (ES) have been reported recently. In the earnings preview, it's expected that ES's Q2 revenue may decline. Debt-load concern has also weighed on the company's balance sheet. Despite these factors, ES managed to outperform its competitors in some trading sessions. The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board confirmed that it has a considerable stake in ES and, in fact, has demonstrated strong institutional backing with 83% ownership.
