Deep work block: the 90-second preparation

A 90-second ritual to prepare for your deep work block: breathe with a coach, rehearse the moment in your mind, and set an anchor you can recall on the spot.

1 · Arrive — 30 seconds

Breathe with Zineb using the Focus pattern: Inhale 4s · hold 4s · exhale 4s · hold 4s. The coach video and the music follow every inhale and exhale, so you do not have to count.

2 · Rehearse — 45 seconds

  1. Picture your workspace for your deep work block. One task. Everything else is closed.
  2. See your hands start the first small step — the easiest one.
  3. A distraction pulls. You notice it, exhale, and return to the task.
  4. Feel the moment the work starts to flow. Time slips by.
  5. See the end: the work is done and you feel quietly proud.

3 · Anchor — 15 seconds

Tap the desk twice. Say quietly: “Now.” In the real moment, repeat the gesture and one long exhale to recall the prepared state.

Afterwards — the check-in

AHΞHA asks you later how it went: worse, as expected, or better. Your answers build your personal proof record.

Why mental rehearsal

Athletes, surgeons and musicians have used imagery for decades: vividly imagining an action engages many of the same brain networks as doing it, and slow exhales shift the body toward its calming (parasympathetic) branch. AHΞHA packs both into one short, repeatable ritual. It is a preparation tool, not a medical treatment.
