Wedding speech or toast: the 90-second preparation
A 90-second ritual to prepare for your speech: breathe with a coach, rehearse the moment in your mind, and set an anchor you can recall on the spot.
1 · Arrive — 30 seconds
Breathe with Furora using the Job Interview pattern: Inhale 4s · hold 4s · exhale 5s · hold 1s. The coach video and the music follow every inhale and exhale, so you do not have to count.
2 · Rehearse — 45 seconds
- Picture the place where your speech happens. Notice the light, the temperature, the sounds.
- See yourself arrive a few minutes early. Shoulders low. Breath slow and quiet.
- The first moment: you make eye contact and your first sentence comes out calm and clear.
- A hard question comes. You pause, exhale, and answer in your own words.
- See the end: you leave knowing you showed who you really are.
3 · Anchor — 15 seconds
Press thumb and index finger together. Say quietly: “Ready.” In the real moment, repeat the gesture and one long exhale to recall the prepared state.
Afterwards — the check-in
AHΞHA asks you later how it went: worse, as expected, or better. Your answers build your personal proof record.
Why mental rehearsal
Athletes, surgeons and musicians have used imagery for decades: vividly imagining an action engages many of the same brain networks as doing it, and slow exhales shift the body toward its calming (parasympathetic) branch. AHΞHA packs both into one short, repeatable ritual. It is a preparation tool, not a medical treatment.
